Location: 7007 269 Road Fort St John, BC
Salary: $77,000
Hours:  8 hours per day, 14 days in and 7 days out

Reporting to the Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Construction Director, the RCC Conveyor  Engineer provides technical engineering support to personnel to ensure Conveyor construction activities comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and drawings. They are responsible for planning, liaising with designers, sub-contractors, quantity tracking, and reporting for all RCC Conveyor related work.

Responsibilities
• Assist with civil engineering design and delivery of track projects, providing technical expertise
• Prepare reports, schedules for projects
• Monitor/track progress against plans and schedules and report on status
• Produce engineering documents such as, design reports, cost estimates and construction specifications or plans related to all RCC conveyor requirements.
• Provide concept engineering and offer alternatives for RCC construction
• Perform conveyor validation work at plant sites with client, contractors and/or plant skilled trades personnel with a special emphasis on safety
• Establish and monitor cost and schedule for project deliverables
• Such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor;

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 1-2 years’ experience in civil construction, of which more than 6 months should be related to Conveying systems, preferred RCC Conveying systems
• Experience in a similar role on major civil engineering design-build projects (RCC Dams)
• Experience in project controls, planning, and scheduling
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports
• Proficiency using MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Project
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
