Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Inventory Lead will coordinate and expedite the flow of parts inventory and materials within or between department stock and maintenance personnel by continuously reviewing and distributing parts inventory, placing order and following-up on delivery schedules in conjunction with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance plans.
 
Responsibilities 
Ensuring timely and accurate placement of parts orders and inventory control, including
o Reviewing maintenance plans and completing inventory take-offs
o Use of parts vendor online order and tracking system
o Inventory receiving and stock placing
o Maintain min/max for stock inventory maintenance items i.e. PM filter packs
o Effective inventory distribution system for controlled access
Knowledge of working with maintenance for preventive maintenance programs  
Demonstrating ability to properly place order and tracked requisitions within Vendor parts ordering systems
Distribute maintenance inventory/stock lists showing received/available parts and inventories  
Review documents, such as maintenance schedules, work orders, or requisitions, to determine parts requirements or inventory ordering priorities.  
Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet maintenance schedules.  
Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet maintenance schedules.  
Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
Performing routine checks on work and inventory stocking area to ensure it is safe and in good working order, including, good housekeeping practices 

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
Knowledge of parts/stock materials for maintenance processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.  
Knowledge of parts inventory systems for maintenance involved in planning and completion of scheduled/unscheduled work
 
Experience and Qualifications
Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and experience of Vendor (Cat/Finning) inventory ordering systems is required.  
Minimum of 3 years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
