Site C will be a third dam and hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River in northeast B.C and offers the opportunity to be part of one of the largest infrastructure projects in Canada. It is part of BC Hydro's overall program to invest in and renew the province's electricity system. Construction on the project began in summer 2015. When completed, Site C will provide British Columbians with clean, renewable and cost-effective electricity for more than 100 years. · Provides expertise in administration processes, procedures and terminology to staff within the business unit; acts as a first level systems resource person for the unit explaining details of assigned functions and related procedures to technical staff in the work area; provides advanced level of support in the operation of related PC applications and mainframe programs; analyzes and resolves local problems relating to associated software programs and makes selection of best business method to carry out tasks; works with project leaders to provide information to assist in the resolution of more complex software programs.
· Prepares and processes all information using advanced levels of software applications such as word processing, database, spreadsheet, graphics and desk top publishing.
· Sets up, monitors and reconciles a variety of information using project management, contract/cost management and maintenance systems and refers unusual data to manager.
· Performs a full range of clerical, administrative and business duties such as preparing and processing a variety of documents, reviewing and verifying completeness and accuracy of information, identifying discrepancies, and contacting appropriate staff for clarification/verification.
· Performs a variety of duties including gathering, maintaining and creating data from various sources such as electronic files and information data sheets from technical staff; verifies data received, identifies discrepancies, updates and/or makes required changes.
· Receives, prioritizes and routes unit correspondence to appropriate personnel for further handling, including locating file references; responds to enquiries related to services of unit in absence of manager; composes routine letters and memos.
· Coordinates and integrates conflicting schedules for managers; monitors arid prioritizes work flow through Manager's office.
· May prepare invoices for unit test reports; data entry of yearly revenue/budget plans; maintains and replacing radiographic film badges; acts as system administrator for the internal telephone and voice mail systems by changing and removing numbers as required, troubleshooting system problems and arranging wiring requirements.
· Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties which do not affect the rating of the job.

Job Requirements:

· High School graduation with completion of Key Boarding 11, Information Management 12 and Data Processing 12 or equivalent. May require the Meridian 1 XII Feature Administration course.
· The successful candidate will have approximately 2 years relevant work experience within a lower level administrative job.
· Satisfactory performance on this job requires approximately 18 months to acquire the additional knowledge/skills necessary to perform the full scope of the job.
Additional Information:
This position is affiliated with the Movement of United Professionals union (MoveUP/COPE).
· Applicants with Environment experience will be considered a strong asset.
· This location may be eligible for a Remote Incentive of 12%. Remote Incentives are paid biweekly to Full-Time Regular employees working in eligible remote locations.
· Normal office conditions.
· This is a Full-Time Temporary position with BC Hydro until approximately 2023.
· This position is an MOU15 position.
· Please note the headquarters for this position is based in Fort St. John.
· Please note as part of the selection process, applicants may be asked to complete an assessment/test as part of the interview.
· Meridian 1 XII Feature Administration course will not be a requirement for this role.
