Introduction to Job Search

To conduct an effective job search you need to ensure that you have
as much information as you possibly can get regarding the positions you are applying for. This information can include: a solid list of employers who may have positions available that aren't advertised; a copy of the job posting you are applying for; location of the company you are seeking a job with; a comprehensive list of current web sites for regional job search and researching a company that you may have an interview with. You should document all employers that you send your resume to not only for follow up calls, but for tracking your success and analyzing your next move. The more focused you are the better success rate you will have in getting that all important interview!
