Description

Fort Nelson Employment Services Inc. is currently hiring a candidate for the role of an Employment Administrator.

The Employment Administrator will be the first point of contact for all individuals accessing the office. The hired candidate will work with a diverse range of clients to assist them with their individual job-related needs to obtain employment.  This is accomplished through initial greeting and screening, supporting clients with registration and needs assessment, providing reception and administrative support to other staff, and managing client interactions in an office setting.

The Employment Administrator is responsible for reception duties, working closely with a team of professionals and assisting clients to ensure the resource centre is inclusively welcoming and accessible to clients in their jobs search.

This position is responsible for various tasks and duties regarding the online job board and providing supports to employers as needed.

Standard office hours -Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 5:30pm.

Work Hours per week- 35

Status: Full-time

  • Competitive hourly rate depending on experience. 
  • 2 weeks annual vacation (starting) and up to 5 weeks (maximum)

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerability Sector Check will be required.
  • COVID19 full vaccination mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) year’s experience in client relations
  • Post-Secondary Education or experience in the Social Services field
  • Office administration program completion is an asset
  • Proficient with technology in Windows environment, MS office, printers/scanners and utilizing web-based tools, minimum typing speed 35 WPM
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to company confidentiality policies
  • Customer service – working with the general public, business community including diverse client populations (e.g., Youth, People with Disabilities, multi-barriered clients, visible minorities etc.)
  • Solid understanding of confidentiality and other professional codes of conduct.
  • Willingness to improve understanding of trauma- informed approach and reconciliation efforts.
