Journeyman Pipefitter’s with picker truck operating experience in Fort St. John

We are looking for pipefitters looking for a long term placement working maintenance on a steady 7 on 7 off or 14 on 14 off shift. 

Responsibilities: 

  • You have studied blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use, and layout the sequence of tasks
  • Must be able to measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic, and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings
  • Join pipe sections, related equipment and secure in position
  • You have used testing equipment to check systems for leaks
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems. 
  • Operate picker truck’s in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • Physical strength, stamina, and the use of proper lifting techniques required to manage heavy materials and stand for long periods
  • Adaptable and can work in a team environment
  • Take pride in doing careful and exacting work
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions 

Experience/Skills:

  • Possess a valid Journeyman Pipefitting Certificate
  • 5 or more years experience in an oilfield maintenance position
  • Standard or Occupational First Aid
  • H2S Alive
  • TDG
  • WHMIS
  • Confined Space Awareness
  • Picker Certification 
  • Crane Operator Ticket (May be able to assist in getting one)
