We are currently looking to fill a position as a Parts Person/Purchasing Assistant. This is an entry-level position but there is opportunity to grow and learn new aspects of business such as counter sales. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated with strong computer skills. This role will suit someone who enjoys both varied and routine work, is highly organized, efficient.

Parts Person

  • Enters and posts parts to orders and warehouse transfers
  • Assist Field Technicians to locate parts. Monitor outgoing parts to ensure all are signed out.
  • Pick and stage orders as well a prepare shipping documents
  • Accepts and signs for deliveries from suppliers.
  • Unpacks incoming shipments, counts and compares to packing slips, records shortages, inspects for damages and advises purchasing department any major concerns with shipment
  • Assemble Kits, assist with counter sales and rentals as required
  • Labels parts with number and places material in appropriate locations designated by the order
  • Assist with managing the inventory control system such as bin locating inventory
  • Assist in the physical inventory annually and performs physical cycle counts on an ongoing basis
  • Enters truck counts into a computer, reviews inventory movement, post counts
  • Responsible to maintain a safe and clean warehouse and counter area for other employees and customers by keeping aisles and shelves clear of objects and/or potential danger.

 

Purchasing Assistant

  • Accurate data entry PO’s for orders that that are physically received
  • Complete purchase orders in software, attach packing slips, BOL, Invoices to purchase order
  • Request packing slips from suppliers for orders picked up by field tech daily
  • Daily local shipment pick-ups
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Performs regular daily routines without direct supervision
  • Possess a high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, flexible with the ability to consistently show initiative
  • Effective team player
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel and outlook Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have valid class 5 drivers license
  • Able to lift 50LBS repeatable multiple times
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity for an oilfield service company an asset
