Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Inspector is primarily responsible for making sure the technical specifications, drawings and project requirements are met by conducting inspections of the assigned work and documenting the process and inspecting materials, including material properties, handling and storage. The Quality Inspector will be involved primarily with the testing of Roller Compacted Concrete, Aggregates and Civil construction.

  • Liaise directly with construction team, including survey, laboratory and other team members on site.
  • Attend meetings with the construction and subcontractor’s team.
  • Witness testing and inspection by relevant parties including from the client.
  • Verify the implementation of remedial actions for non-conformances with construction personnel.
  • Advise the Quality Manager of any work that is not performed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Reject works not performed in accordance with project requirements, and releases work found compliant to the project requirements.
  • Ensure inspections are conducted and results retained as quality records in accordance with ITPs, drawing, technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Notify and liaise with client site representatives on all site inspections associated with client’s Witness and Hold points.


  • Knowledge of Total Quality Management and Methodologies
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient at report writing, reviewing, and interpretation of results
  • Competency with MS Excel, MS Word
  • Ability to work either dayshift/nightshift, alone or with team
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or with team
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve and tackle testing issues;
  • Able to handle multi-tasking and maintain focus in a busy work place;
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Applied Science or Engineering Field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a Quality and Environment Roles, in Civil, Hydro, or construction projects.
  • Valid driver’s license.
